My Goals for 2010

My Goals for 2010

Following the lead of some posts by Justin Dupre and Jonathan Volk, and probably other badass affiliates. I’ve decided to share my lame-ass goals. Which turns out to be pretty entertaining since it is so ordinary goals compared to those two fellows.

It’s a long post! Be warned…

  1. Get Money + Get Paid: It’s been a while I’m struggling with servers and hosting and all that crap, I’m tired of this and I would rather focus my energy on things that is not shady that needs to be hosted in offshore hosting, no is not porn, I couldn’t work on this niche even if I wanted to.
  2. Go and finish college at last: I’ve only managed to stay in college for 1 semester, the classes were dull and the chance of getting a regular job after graduating is anywhere from 0% to 1% in my town and 3% to 7% in my country overall. And besides, if I accomplish my goal of earning $200 per day (I’m a moron for not be earning this amount already), I wouldn’t even need to get a real job, mainly because the salary of an Administrator here is $1200 per month and I get that with e-mail submits, no shit.
  3. Get out more: My friends nicknamed me caveman, no wonder, I spend way too much time on computer, before it was being a fake Gangster on Facebook (Mafia Wars), or even a countryman on Farmville. Now with Lead Marketing, my computer have become my restaurant as well, there only time I get out is to take a shower or to go to the bathroom. Sad, but true.
  4. Go to the gym: No açai berries for me bros. I only believe in real exercise to lose weight and get body mass. But I think I’ll end up no doing this, since I’ve been willing to “go to the gym” since last year, if I didn’t do that back then, I hardly will this year, but since it is only the beginning of the year, I have plenty of time to go.
  5. Get the hang of this mtfkng business: Since Facebook and Adwords ditched me last year, this year I’m going to work more on SEO (to gain enough money to spend on media buys and ppv), since last year I’ve been trying to get a profitable campaign on POF, my adcopies suck more than Dracula, with CTR around %0.04 (WHO LIVE LIKE THIS!?). Managed to get a campaign with CTR 0.23%, but no conversions eh.
  6. Buy a new cellphone: Heck, I’m using a broken N75 I’ve bought on ebay (I’ve fixed it to make it work), tried to buy an iphone but it was too cheap to be true and I almost lost my monies ($350) in a fake iphone 3G 8GB (not the GS), if at least I could buy it, but the seller was just screwing buyers and I found out before I got on his fool list.
  7. Travel to US to meet with some homies: Pretty self-explanatory.
  8. Save money to attend ASW in 2011: I have no idea what happens in these affiliate meetings, but I want to find out.
  9. Get my Driver’s License: Yes, I’m 21 years old and I haven’t driven anything, no wonder why, we never had a car, so why would we spend our lunch money with Driver’s School? And no, we don’t own a car still, which takes to my next goal.
  10. Buy a car! It’s been frustrating to walk under the rain or under Brazil’s tropical sun, even though it is good for the environment and it’s the only exercise I do, having a car has a lot of pros, like being able to go to the supermarket and bringing the groceries home instead of waiting until they deliver it, which is generally while you are taking a shower.
  11. Buy an LCD TV to watch the World Cup: Do you know those TVs that aren’t HD and heavy as hell? That’s the one we own.
  12. Upgrade my computer: Last time I updated my computer was when the Dual Core was released, not that much time, but after my power supply frizzle on my birthday and I having to spend more money to fix it, I decided that since I’m going to spend long hours on this, being pissed off with a lot of things, why not get a new computer and have something less to be pissed about?
  13. Have a healthy routine: Crazy hours are killing me, sleeping at 3am, waking up at 6am, not having so much fun, that’s not what life is about. I’ve begun to go to bed at 1am, last night I passed out and woke up today at 10:50am, but I want to be up early so I can get more done and take the most of my day, maybe doing it I’ll have time for the gym!
  14. Don’t waste time thinking/browsing and getting shit done: Instant Messaging, Youtube, Facebook, Blogs, Forums, Twitter, E-Mail, my own thoughts, these pretty much make me drool all day instead of actually doing something. All these things I can do once I have established my business, right now I shouldn’t be wasting time. Even though these things are the closest I have of fun on my daily basis.

Of course hardly anyone read this but me, I’m posting it so I can have a clue of what I want to accomplish this year and WORK HARDER to get it. I’ll keep updating the blog with news on my goals when I accomplish them. I could use this blog to push stuff on my readers, but I don’t want to follow this path, this is my personal blog, if I ever put an ad here it is because the product/network/whatever is hot! I don’t want to make a  quick buck on my few readers. Even though that is the easiest path to earn money online.

PS: The EWA banner is there because they RULE! I’ve learned a lot in the last couple of weeks since I’ve joined EWA, the weekly campaign recommendations is just priceless. Special kudos to Ryan Eagle and Victor (My AM). I’m still not breaking even, but I’m almost there!

Yes, I'm the mastermind behind this blog, what a narcissist you may think, but that's not the deal, this blog was created to entertain and somewhat help you out. I'm going to blog about several different subjects, whatever it bothers/pleases me, so that's not another PLR blog, I'm a real blogger, and my type of blogging is, with style. :D

Hi Thales. I’m Julia’s (Julia Mitchell) husband. I was just reading a few posts on your blog including this one. Julia was telling me last year that you are a really nice young guy just trying to learn, get ahead in life etc.

I don’t want to write much more here but do you have Skype or Gmail. I would like to have a chat with you and see if we can help you out in some way. The whole Internet marketing thing is a struggle in so many ways and there are so many people trying to make a dollar from it and as you know not many do make a comfortable living from it.

I’m not into making promises or anything like that but as I said would like to chat with you.

    Regards
    Brian Mitchell.
