2009 is Ending and is Time to Ponder…

As one more year goes by, I can stop to think about what we have and haven’t accomplished from our goals…

I begun 2009 totally excited on my online journey, I was clueless about how things really work, I’ve set really high goals for a beginner, and of course, I didn’t accomplish it this year, but I can tell I’m on my way to accomplish it.

I’ve spent most of 2009 reading e-books and willing to get started a campaign and have success right off the bat, the truth is, the majority of e-books claims are bullshit. You won’t get rich in a month, the numbers they use are unrealistic if you are starting out and the same numbers and claims are fairy tales if you don’t want to work your arse off.

So my goal for 2010, I won’t buy nor read a single ebook or whatever the “gurus” try to sell, of course I’ll still read some blogs ppc.bz, Finch Sells and the other blogs on my blogroll, but that’s just because they aren’t “Buy this stuff I’m reviewing and you’ll get rich”, they are more amusing than watching Scrubs.

I’ve achieved my goal for 2009, which was earning $1000 per month, not much of a high goal you must think, but that’s a start and I’m making more online than 99% of some marketing forum members. At least I got started and after hardwork I managed to get a few streams of income running mostly with SEO.

This month was the worse month since I thought that I could play with google adwords and run some campaigns to get “the hang of it”, but I got banned and my major plan to get a serious income online went down the drain. Then I had a Plan B as I always have, which was Facebook Ads, but they also banned me because I was stupid enough to use a voucher and I had joined the visa business network before, since I didn’t know it wasn’t allowed and they didn’t tell, I got banned on Facebook as well, so both plans failed.

Now in 2010 I’m going to keep on working and I’m going to try different traffic sources and hopefully take my business to the next level. I’ve lost quite a good amount of money with computer burning up, unsuccessful campaigns (still working on them, because they are profitable I just didn’t find the perfect formula yet), and also buying things I didn’t have (like a place for my clothes).

2009 was a great year for me, there are a few goals like $200 per day which I’m more than willing to make real before july, but the general earning goal for 2010 is $500 per day, and I am darn sure it is possible.

And I also want to attend ASW in 2011, so I’ll have to make this year count, and I’m going back to college, so I’ll make Affiliate Marketing Part-time job once again, college won’t be to make me money, since I’m already earning the amount an Administrator earns in my town… But I’m going to do this because I want to have a real profession to tell when people ask what I do for living, and I believe that I have a lot to learn on this class that would help my online business.

I’m not really sure why I’m writing this post since not even my mom reads my blog, so if you stumbled upon my blog and actually read it, have a happy new year and don’t wait 2010 to come to make your goals real, start now, if you have to wait a new year to do your stuff, you probably won’t carry it on for much longer… Dare to dream!
